How to edit or cut an already uploaded YouTube video

After entering the YouTube video editor, you can edit an already uploaded video  cutting off the beginning, end or intermediate sections of the  video in a simple way. Remember that this feature is only available for videos that are less than 6 hours long. This panel also allows you to add effects to the end of your video.

In the editing panel, you will be able to see a timeline with the frames or clips of your video. You can play the video to get an idea or mark an exact time from where you want to cut the video. Click "Cut" and this will bring up a blue-bordered box on the timeline.

Click and drag the edges of the blue box until only the section of the video you want to keep is inside. You can drag the left edge to trim the start of the video or drag the right edge to trim the end of the video. Anything out of the box will be removed from the video.

How to remove middle sections from an already uploaded video

In case you want to remove the intermediate sections of the video, click on " Size ". Then, inside the box with the blue border, click where you want the section you want to remove to begin. Select “I shared ".

Next, click on the white bar that will appear and drag it to the end of the section you want to remove. You can make as many divisions as you need and adjust them to the points you want.

Finally, press the "Save" button if you are satisfied with your modification. YouTube Studio will show you a notification informing you that changes to your video will take effect in a few hours.
