Within this section we will find a section called » Subset Which will have a list of options. We will choose " Format number ".

When we choose it, it will show us, in the box in the center, all the symbols of the numerical characteristics that we can use.

There are a lot of them, so the square rooted one will not be seen with the naked eye, therefore, it has to be looked for among all those there.

Second step to enter the square root

As you might expect, when it comes to operating systems, you can always expect there are ways to execute processes via keyboard shortcuts.

In this case, you can enter a square root in Word without having to waste time looking for it in the symbols pop-up window, or all of the above.

You just have to know how the shortcut is to do it, that is which keyboard keys are pressed so that it can be entered quickly.

You just have to open the program and choose the point where we want to place the symbol, which in this case is the square root.

So, you have to hold down OTHER (key) as follows, steps 2, 5 and finally 1 (all this without releasing ALT). You need to use the number buttons located above the letters.

Finally, you lift your finger from ALT, after typing 1, and as you do so, the square root will appear in the spot we chose earlier.
